Today is a big day for Lengow and for Mickael and Jérémie, the company’s co-founders!

We are indeed very pleased to welcome to the Lengow team  Virginie de Malavois, the former Sales Director of Shopping.com, who will be in charge of launching Lengow in Canada and more precisely in Montreal!

The launch is planned for the 1st of October, but I’m sure we’ll talk about it again on the blog before then :)

Virginie de Malavois started her career in France in 2003 at Kelkoo, the then-leader of French comparison shopping sites, as Account Manager – then making the most of the acquisition of Kelkoo by Yahoo! to evolve within a large American group.

In 2007, Virginie decided to join the subsidiary of the eBay group – Shopping.com as Key Account Manager. Shopping.com had just launched in France and was looking to develop its network of online retailers. Virginie contributed to launching the biggest French websites and to developing the turnover of existing clients.

In 2009, Virginie was appointed Sales Director of Shopping.com and participated in the strategy planning of the company. She was surrounded by a team of 5 people and Shopping.com was positioned in the top 3 of European comparison shopping sites.

At the end of 2011, Virginie would again like to overcome some new challenges, this time internationally. Canada is her choice, and Lengow will trust her to launch the company’s activity in Canada as its Country Manager.

Lengow will open its first international office in Montreal in October 2011.
